“Maureen went above and beyond planning our Viking River tour on the Rhine. She found an amazing price, figured out air arrangements to accommodate our wish to get to Germany a week early and even secured our rail tickets. Everything went very smoothly and she provided us with some cool Viking promotional things: totes, memory books, luggage tags. We were the envy of the other passengers. She always got back to me quickly and held my hand through my pre-vacation freak out. Thanks Maureen!”

“For nearly 2 decades Azumano travel (Yuko) has gone beyond my expectations for professionalism and timeliness. Coordinating travel for professional athletes, with ever changing schedules, is far from routine. Bravo folks!”

“Dear Connie,

Everything comes and goes. The cruise has passed and today I am flying back to Italy.  Before anymore time passes I want to thank you for having helped make this, our first cruise, a fantastic experience for me and my family; you did help me construct memories and life experiences for those children.  The four kids had a great time,  cruising time/excursions ratio was just fine and they also enjoyed exploring and participating in the activities is the ship.

All of this could be done thanks to your professional knowledge, advice and willingness to help and guide me through the whole process.  Thank you, thank you and will make sure to recommend you to whoever tells me they want to plan a cruise.”

“Rena,

I cannot thank you enough for what turned out to be a spectacular “once in a lifetime” trip for our family.  Everything went so smoothly – we did have one minor hiccup with the rental car but Knightly Tours was on it immediately, assuring us to not worry about a thing.

The weather was beautiful and all of our tours/excursions were about as perfect/jaw dropping as you could get!  I will say (for future planning) The Denali back country tour (bus ride through Denali National Park) felt like it would have been more exciting at the beginning of the trip.  Folks were very excited about seeing Bears and other animals from about 1000 yards away.  Which, after viewing bears (out of Homer) and Moose and other wild animals from the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center – up close and personally, felt like not such a big deal on the Denali tour.  The scenery was still awesome though!

As you can see from my Facebook posts/comments, we are the envy of many friends right now…some of which are asking for our itinerary for the trip…

Thank you!”

“We had a great time and everything was perfect.  Great weather the Hotel was beautiful and clean.  We did our excursions through Amstar they were fabulous and went above and beyond to make sure all was good with us!! They also took us from airport to hotel and back to airport on our departure and they were helpful and so nice!!  Punta Cana was amazing.  We did the all-day catamaran to Saona Island that was just unbelievable and so so fun!!  Zip-lining and swimming in Blue Hole in Cap Cana.  If you haven’t gone you should!!

Gina, I have you in my contacts and I for sure will be using you when we vacation plan again!!!!”

We just returned from Alaska yesterday, and I wanted to give you some feedback before the memories fade. All I can say is awesome…awesome…awesome! We had the best time. We were blessed with picture perfect weather the entire week—sunny every day and temps in the 60s-70s. All we heard over and over again all week was how lucky we were weather wise. The itinerary was perfect with just the right amount of time in each place. Driving was all pleasant and manageable. While I’m sure cruising is a great way to see Alaska, this was a perfect option for us, giving us the maximum flexibility to do what we wanted at our own pace.

Here’s a few specifics we thought might be helpful to pass on to you for future clients (especially as it relates to restaurant recommendations):

Homer– we loved the picturesque town and the Lands End Resort at the end of the road. We ate at Little Mermaid, and it was one of our favorite meals on the trip. The dinner was so good that we went back for fish tacos for lunch the next day. Our other dinner at the Chart House at Lands End had mediocre food and service. I would not recommend it.  We found two great places for breakfast and box lunches before our excursions–OFP Bakery and La Baleine Cafe. Highly recommend both, especially OFP which had delicious fresh baked goods.  And Two Sisters is a terrific place we found for breakfast as we left Homer. Bear viewing was awesome (only thing I regret is that we did not have binoculars). I would suggest adding that to the list of items people should bring.  My kids thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking.

Seward–we had a great drive to Seward, stopping for 4 mile hike to see the salmon fishery. In Seward we visited the Sealife Center which was worthwhile. Another restaurant to add to your recommended  list is the Highliner, which took reservations and had excellent food and service.  Ice Climbing was awesome for my kids (although address was incorrect). They raved about the guides, experience, etc. Ed and I thoroughly enjoyed the fjord cruise (FYI they did not have us registered for lunch, but when I told them it was included in our itinerary, they provided it).

Denali–Both the Tundra Wilderness Tour and ATV Adventures were terrific. We also did a number of hikes on our own that were beautiful.  We were able to visit to the Denali Dog Sled Kennels (right near park headquarters) for a demonstration. It’s offered 3x day and gives you an opportunity to talk with the trainers and pet the dogs. Highly recommend it. As far as meals, our favorite of the entire trip was 229 Parks Restaurant. What a find! Loved the atmosphere and the food. We also ate at the McKinley Creek Cafe for dinner and the Back Bear for breakfast–both delicious and conveniently located.

Talkeetna–Enjoyed the fun, funky vibe. Met your friend Mary Ann and saw your beautiful baskets. Great place to pick up gifts. We ate at Mountain High Pizza and Denali Brewing Company for dinners–both very good. Given the great weather, we were able to eat meals outdoors which allowed us to enjoy the fresh air and fun atmosphere. We also found the Flying Squirrel Cafe for awesome breakfast.

I hope this is helpful. Again, many thanks for your expertise in planning this trip. It was truly excellent. I’d be happy to provide a reference if that would be helpful. “
