Thank you for the note! We had a WONDERFUL time both in NYC and Cancun. The Renaissance was great in NYC, right in the middle of everything. I don’t think we could have asked for a better location for our first time out. I do believe, however, that we’ll stay somewhere else on any return trips. Being in the middle of the tourist trap, if you will, got a bit wearing. I’d love to see more of the “real” NYC in the future. But it was perfect for this trip where our goal was to hit all of the tourist check boxes.

I cannot say enough great things about The Finest! It really was spectacular. The room was fantastic, service was great, and there was food and booze aplenty. We had restaurants we liked more than others, but that’s very much a personal taste. There wasn’t any place where at least one of our meals wasn’t really great, and most places we both had a great experience. We actually didn’t leave the resort the entire week we were there, which surprised us. We had plans to do some excursions, but they took such good care of us that we didn’t want to leave. We basically rolled out of bed to our swimming pool, had a room service breakfast at the pool, lunch somewhere, and then spent the afternoon at the beach followed by tasty dinners and night time activities. The night time entertainment was good enough, they definitely tried and they had a variety of options available depending on your interest.

Overall, we had a spectacular time and are already trying to figure out how we can go back to The Finest….
