“Gina, I would love to give you information on our trip!  We fly home tomorrow and are looking forward to our own beds, pillows, and showers.  🙂

The trip has been amazing.  We have seen and done so much.  The kids have had an experience of a lifetime.    Everything you set up was great from a airport to hotel/hotel to airport standpoint.  It did make life easier to not have to worry about it.  We had one issue with the shared transport in London where the driver had the wrong address for our hotel.  We ended up in the car for 3 hours in traffic instead of 30 min to our hotel.   That was the worst experience we had on the trip….  and if the worst thing on a2.5 week trip is a longer than planned trip from airport to hotel, that is pretty good.

Edinburgh is amazing!  Recommend it to anyone.   We loved it and want to go back.  We even liked Haggis.

London was good….and crowded.  The British Museum is overwhelming with the artifacts they have.   And it is free….   WHAT?  I know I was shocked.   We saw so much there.  The hotel was really beautiful.  In a great building and each room had a smart phone to use during the stay.  That really came in handy.  Beds and showers were great.  I would recommend this hotel.

Paris was incredible.   The city is truly beautiful.  We loved climbing the Eiffel Tower, seeing the Louvre, Versaille was tremendous, and the crepes were delicious.  For other travelers if they are interested in seeing the Catacombs they should buy tickets ahead of time.  And the Musee de Armie was one of the highlights, they had so much to see!  The hotel was really good and the staff was extremely helpful. Beds and showers were great.  We would recommend this hotel as well.

Venice was a treat to see.  With kids we were there for just the right amount of time.    It was really fun to take a water taxi to the hotel.   The Hotel was historically cool and the room was decorated with Antiques.  Beds were uncomfortable.

Rome as a city is phenomenal and Pompeii is overwhelming in its size and excavations.  The hotel is very close to a Metro station and the staff are helpful.  The beds aren’t very comfortable and the showers are to great.  It says it’s a 4 star hotel out front but it is not as nice as the hotels in London and Paris.   I’m not sure I’d that is a regional difference or just the luck of the draw with our room.  The sights to see in Rome may challenge Paris.  Everywhere you turn there are ruins from 2000 years ago.  If travelers want to see cathedrals, Rome is the place to be. We wandered the city and stumbled upon so many gorgeous cathedrals.    One we wandered into had a tour underneath that showed the 1st century Roma. House the site had been built on.

We leave this trip richer as people and as a family.  I kept notes on our trip to help us all remember because we did so much.
